Capital Campaign Fundraising

We hear over and over not to have more than one audience. In the case of Bowman School and their capital campaign fundraising video, their audience included both parents and local business giants in the tech field.

My challenge was to find a point of common ground between the parents, business leaders and Bowman School. That point of common ground was the uncertainty of the future of work.

“We spoke to several production companies but Laura’s approach was the most interesting and holistic.  Her solution was designed to provide us with not just our main capital campaign video, but with shorter social media videos as well, all building excitement for our capital campaign launch.

As a Development Director, my plate is very full.  I wear many hats; I’m managing multiple projects and have many time commitments.  It was a relief to know that Laura’s years in marketing and film production allowed her to go away and come up with solid ideas for our videos.  She worked with top talent to capture our videos and then crafted stories that we love.

I appreciate the power of personal stories. But beyond that, the process of speaking to our students, parents and founders and bringing them in for the videos helped Bowman School better understand our own effect on the lives of those who have gone through our school.”
